Sorry it has taken an age to post these! We are very pleased with our new camera, though it will take a bit of getting used to.

Our hotel looking down from the Tyne Bridge. As you can see, we couldn't have been better placed.

It was such a beautiful day :-)

DS is in the black running shirt between the red and green vests - the photo is clickable, he is runner 5862
He's in there too - somewhere!
Five minutes later and the crowd of runners was much more tightly packed - it would have been very difficult to pick him out in that lot!
After the race in beautiful South Shields
The yellow buses were used to transport kit from start to finish.

'Beautiful South Shields'??? That's the first time I've seen those words together lol!!!
What lovely photos Joy!! And what glorious weather you all had. Looks like a wonderful day.
I can't believe the weather you had - it was truly gruesome here with torrential rain and a wind that sliced through you. Guess the man upstairs was smiling on these amazing people that run to support others.
What a wonderful day you had!!! Way to go DS!!! Joy I climbed every step in durham Cathedral to see the view! Well worth it, a gorgeous place indeed! :)
Lovely photos - they bring it all back to me!
And well done again to your son! I know how hard it is - my brother and nephew were running in it too!
